The deaths were a bit excessive and ill thought out in some cases, but I think he did a good job showing the X-men in their darkest hour before the Dawn of X.There are more good films in the franchise than bad. The DoX books since were more hit or miss. I was loving Marauders and the Hickman half of New Mutants but books like X-Force or Fallen Angels did nothing for me. The main X-Men book, from what I read, was good but disjointed. Ultimately, it was an issue of X-Men that made me drop the whole line.
