Apr 15, 2011. #14. D'Addarios feel great right off the bat, they also (to me) feel like they are a little bit "beefier" and a little darker sounding than the EBs. Which I really like. But I prefer/ play Ernie Balls, they seem to last longer to me and are a bit brighter than the D'Addarios.
