Best budget items for 2023. Just my brief thoughts on items I have tried in '23 that gave me good results and that still are in reasonable $$$ ranges (at least for my middle class budget.) For blades I’ve heard lots of different stuff so I’m looking to see if there’s a good pack of different blades so I can try some. As for cream/ soap I don’t really know what I want to get here. I was thinking a sample pack of soap. Then I was going to get a brush and an alum bar maybe. I don’t really know what else I need tbh. I've looked at youtube videos for the past week on the Lansky, KME, Edge Pro and the Wicked Edge. From what I can tell most people prefer the Lansky for its price. The KME got overall good reviews. The Edge Pro didnt seem to favor well with some because of its holding system where it slides around. Razor blades are highly YMMV. Just trust your own experience. I love Rockwell blades, I get a weeks worth of shaves out of them, but everyone is different. I have a tough beard and found the Rockwell blades to not be up to the task. My best blade is the 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge (they are in the yellow box).
I change blades with each shave however I only shave twice a week so I use about 100 blades/year. For me it's not worth trying to save a few pennies since my favorite blades are under $10/100.
