Been doing 10-20 winter trips every year from SF to Tahoe. Look at Nokian WR G3 and WRG4’s (the 3s are fine). They aren’t all seasons they’re ‘all-weathers. Made by a company in Finland and perform very good in snow but last longer in dry climates than winter tires. Read the consumer reports for the WR G3’s. Tahoe Donner is 530 but is smaller than Donner Ski Ranch. Boreal was $529 this year but very small. Ikon Pass gets you both Palisades mountains, but is $769 for the one with blackout days.
