So to increase engine output, either the airflow capacity must be increased or the fuel/air charge burned more effectively. The primary obstacles to getting maximum airflow into an engine are the carburetor, intake manifold and port. It went pretty well. The only issue was that the idle was set quite high from the factory so it wouldn’t start with the 1/4 turn of throttle as instructed. I’ve adjusted it down and it seems to be fine. First ride tomorrow.
