This is true everywhere. Tradovate has pretty good loss limit tools though. Manage your risk appropriately. Futures can gap in value especially if they’re illiquid. Some contracts like softs or grains, etc can gap max for days at a time without letting you get out. I don’t watch these much but have seen it happen.If you don’t have live market data either by paying for it through TradingView or logging into your Tradovate broker in TradingView you’ll be limited to 5 second updates. Thoughts on Tradovate platform? An acquaintance uses the Tradovate platform for futures because of their low fees. I checked out their site and disclosures and it says there's no insurance in case of bankruptcy or misappropriation on funds deposited. My inclination is to run in the other direction.
