Freightliner cascadia inverter fuse.
I ran into the same situation on a newer Cascadia. Took 2 days and 2 different Freightliner dealers to diagnose. Here was my problem. The tractor detected an incomplete circuit in the trailer lighting. Bottom line, the tractor shut down power to that pin in order to protect its own circuitry.

Check for voltage on the green and yellow wires with the ignition on. You must have voltage on both, with the yellow wire voltage being higher than the green (3.2 vs. 2.8 for example). If you have identical voltage reading, or higher voltage on the green wire, the wires are crossed somewhere j1939 will not work. Reply.
For my 2500 watt I used 4 gauge wire, and my inverter has two hot and one ground (Cobra Inverter) I used all available connections. If it provides them why not use them? I have two inverters in my truck the other is a Cobra 1575 and its wire run is about 13 feet I have never had any trouble out of it.
