A couple of options I can think of: 1, Use CurveMultiTube Brush - let's you lay down several curves, each of which can be adjusted until you delete the curves. 2. İ got my mac mini yesterday and zbrush works great. İ can run it almost like my old 2017 5000$ imac pro. just with 8gb ram. When you leave edit mode the model on screen gets converted into pixols. It's no longer a 3d model at that point, which is why you were not able to enter edit mode. You can hit Ctrl+N to clear the document of those pixols, redraw the tool onto the document again, and then re-enter edit mode. If you hit shift-s it creates a image of the model ...
