Hi everyone, I purchased my 2016 Malibu LS as a CPO used car from a Chevy dealership on Aug 31, 2019. It is now Sept 23 and I've already had to take it back to the dealer twice for repairs (first for the "shift to park" issue that many people on this forum seem to be having, the other for leaking third brake light causing water to pour in through the rear passenger area of the headliner).
There's a service bulletin regarding the shift to park message where the wiring is replaced on the shifter assembly. Never had one come back after the most recent update to the repair. I usually make sure I press the brake and then attempt to shift out of park. Make sure you don't have the button on the shifter pressed before pressing on the brake. It's never gotten "stuck" though.
