This objective is a fixed location quest, the quest is for my settlement, so it requires me to be on my settlements planet. I wrap far far away, restart quest, it sends me back to my settlement and it just spawns the sentinel pillar inside the volcano again. Enter the atmosphere and choose a direction (north or south) fly in that direction low over the moon so you can see structures. Just keep flying and looking for a pillar.
