I'd think you could easily make the same power with a BBC for $12-15k using a used aluminum block and heads, that should be relatively easy to find.Depends on the rpm and hp you're trying to run. The CNC BB3Xtra flows decent air and would be a good choice if you're looking for a decent power band. Another good choice would be the Dart 355 CNC. Bigger heads will flow more air and work better at higher rpm but may not make better power. JMO.With it I ran mid 8's @ 160 +.
