With the 4x ACOG on it, hitting the 5” steel target at 300. However, on the 16” vs 20” question, go 20” because the 16” with Mid-Length gas has been problematic. I had to switch the buffer spring to an M4 spring for it to be reliable on gas setting 2.So similar applies to 7.62 and .308, just reversed. Generally a rifle is marked for its intended caliber but then you can use the slightly smaller counterpart on it.
