Personally, I enjoyed using the seamoth more. The agility and size just made it way more fun to use than the seatruck. If anything it should have come back with the ability to carry a prawn suit for those deeper depths. Or hell, just make it possible to upgrade it to much lower depths too, so we're not just stuck with prawn suit forever.

Giving max crush depth at 900m, you can explore with it only in the Lost River (or part of it). I can suggest only one reason to get a seamoth so deep: when you build a new base (or station your cyclops as a base) around that depth and use PRAWN to explore in deep biomes and seamoth to fast return to upper biomes.There are currently no Seamoth upgrade fragments. The only fragments you need are the moonpool fragments for the blueprint. I've just managed to fully upgrade my Seamoth to maximum depth and about to go exploring as deep as possible. But I haven't yet got around to building a cyclops or prawn. Really in the mood to progress the story and not excited about hunting for all the parts for the other 2 vehicles. Also I've seen how clunky travelling in the cyclops looks.

The seamoth currently has a max depth of ~1km which meets most of our needs. Where devs seem to be heading is towards a progressing type of exploration curve that makes other vehicles/items relevant. The problem gets easily resolved with the introduction of the exosuit, but this one still needs a lot of work.

This part holds the MK4 and MK5 depth modules for the Seamoth so it can also travel down to max depth. Permission given by AHK to remake the mod as individual parts.
