From everything I've read Holley dates through 1972 are 3 digits and 73 and later are 4-digits. So what's with a 3092 date?

In 1973, Holley went to 4 digit Julian calendar date codes. 047 is February. The '6' is not likely 1986 or 1996, so it makes sense it's 1976. I don't believe there's any record of 3245 carbs on any new GM vehicles ...

I have seen carbs with the DZ letters with date codes into the 70's. They are over the counter replacement carbs. It might still have some worth but not near as much as a correct dated carb.1967 saw the first year the 396 V8 camshaft abandoned the grooved rear journal and matching bearing in the engine block in favor of a smooth journal like the 283/327 V8.
