Most of the time, playing a holotape out of your inventory in a power armor (at least in my experience it's almost always when I'm in power armor) the screen will go blurry and you can no longer open your pipboy up.

Workaround is to take off the eyewear, save, quit to desktop, then relaunch and put the eyewear back on. In my experience, dying and having the game itself load the quicksave does not cause the issue. Only the quickload function seems to. I haven't yet tested hard saving and then manually loading that hard save. 1.
