Dec 2, 2023 · With Quick Bomber (/Draw), Alch bombs are 1-action. Creating bombs on the spot is 2x action cost, and with Feat investment, the bomb can be enhanced w/ a single, measly Additive. No where close to justifying the action cost. Numerically speaking, that L1 Feat is literally the strongest thing in the Alch's entire kit. You have calculated all the angles to maximize a bomb’s splash. Alchemists are probably my favorite class in 2E. I love the versatility and the way they support and feel useful in all 3 pillars of a TTRPG. That said, I struggle to identify an optimized free archetype as well. Wizard or witch seems ideal due to Int casting, but it doesn’t feel like it adds what an alchemist lacks.
