Basically the same bow, obviously. These are both 65lbs limb sets with the exact same component sets on both. The only thing I really notice is that the Phase 4 is legitimately a little quieter with just a touch less hand vib at the shot. The difference in weight is noticeable. The phase 4 feels like a tank. I also think the Phase 4 is smoother to draw with less of a dump. Not that the Lift is bad, it's just more noticeable. The phase 4 is also more "jumpy" on the release despite the weight difference. It feels violent compare to the lift.#1. Justin Crossley. Administrator. Staff member. Joined. Feb 25, 2012. Messages. 7,279. Location. Buckley, WA. @les welch is back with another great bow review. This time he discusses the new Mathews Phase 4. Find out what's new and improved and also what technologies they kept. This new Mathews bow looks very impressive. Mathews Phase 4 Review.

If you have a V3X like me, I personally wouldn’t buy a Phase 4. It would be cheaper to add limb dampeners between the limbs or buy an adjustable stab, like the crossover stabs on my V3X. If you don’t have a Phase 4, it is one of the top 2 bows Ive shot this year. The Hoyt VTM 31 and Phase 4 29 are still the top of the class in my opinion. The new Phase 4 by Mathews is their most efficient hunting bow to date. They continue to improve on their bows year after year, and this bow is no different. With …

Phase 4 actually is an impressive bow. Shot the vtm and P4. To me, who shoots a 20 year old bow and has no loyalty, the P4 was superior. I actually shoot a 21 year Mathews and was planning on switching to the Hoyt because of all the reviews the past few years. After shooting both I like the Phase 4 much better.

The Mathews and Bowtech were the top contenders for me. I walked out with a Phase 4. Never thought I would see the day I bought a Mathews over a Bowtech or Hoyt, but here we are. All three are top notch. For me the Mathews won, however that was a purely personal and subjective choice. The phase 4 and the Cp30 are basically the same speed, true 30 inch draw length and 70 lbs. With the Cp30 having a 1 inch longer brace height. Smooth draw on comfort, better draw on performance except for the dump the last few inches. CP30 reflex is less than a inch. Phase4 is 3 1/4 inches. Phase4 is quieter.

The Mathews was shooting at 307 fps vs 296 from the Hoyt (!). I was so impressed by the draw cycle vs. speed from the Mathews. Then you consider the riser length of the Mathews (33.5" vs. 31" from the Hoyt) and the weight (4.25 lbs. vs. 4.5 lbs. from the Hoyt) and the reflex (1.5" on the Mathews vs. 1.75" on the Hoyt)...

Aug 14, 2023 · The mathews v3x and the phase 4 are two high-quality bows with distinct characteristics. In terms of accuracy, the mathews v3x offers exceptional precision, while the phase 4 stands out with its excellent shooting stability and speed. Both bows have their advantages, making them suitable for different archery styles and preferences. The Hoyt VTM 34 is now in serious consideration. Draw cycle is butter smooth (to me it’s better than the Mathews not gonna lie), it’s a hair longer ATA and a hair shorter brace. I like the fact the Hoyt has a rotating …The reason I ask is that the Mathews have been coming in pretty heavy vs what mod they have on. 3 - 4 lbs over isn't uncommon. And that can make a huge difference on draw cycle comparison as well as feeling jumpy. Bowfreaks Archery, LLC 417-466-4797. (PSE with Volvo cam felt great, but getting a Fortis was 8 weeks out for EC 2 cam) They didn’t have a VTM in none camo so I shot the RX 7 ultra and liked how it felt, there were some perks compared to the VTM. My second bow I have ever bought. I was torn between the Hoyt VTM and the Phase 4. I shot the Hoyt and it felt really nice, balanced, quiet. As soon as I shot the Phase 4, I was a little sad because the Hoyt was what I thought I wanted. I shot both again, and there was just no comparison for me, I left the shop with the Mathew’s Phase 4, and ...

I'm looking to go down to a 50# bow (old man with old shoulders, lol) and have not liked the recent offerings from Mathews at all. Last week I spent a while shooting my AU along side a used 50# Traverse I picked up and a new Phase 4 33 turned sown to 55#. I gotta say the Phase 4 was surprisingly pleasant to shoot.

I went all in with the entire bridgelock set-up. I have been beyond impressed! The Mathews has an amazing back wall. There is hardly any creep and it’s very solid. I shot the new Hoyt VTM 31, Hoyt RX7, and the Bowtech Carbon One before trying the Phase4 29. I now have the Phase4 29 in subalpine and quite enjoy it.
