Either way, our school requires 75th percentile to honor. Our school gives almost no weight to shelf, only need ~30th percentile on shelf with honors level clinical evals to get honors on the clerkship. Similarly, a perfect score on shelf cannot raise a high pass clinical evals to honors for the clerkship.In my opinion, the goal is to show progression so as long as you get consistently better, you should do just fine. AMBOSS tends to have some more esoteric, kinda random questions that are lower yield. If you only do one, do UW. If you can afford both and love question banks, do both. I won't have more than a few weeks for Step 2 dedicated so there's no point trying to save UWORLD for that.

My IM COMAT had no OMM with regards to the questions it was asking. However, it did give me some BS OMM findings just to artificially lengthen the question stems in an attempt to crunch me for time lol.

I did my Level 1 retake 2 weeks before my IM COMAT and thought that was enough for me personally but I think comquest alone would help you pass. You'll probably pass, but 400 + 120 questions in total - that's a bit on a lower side for IM. If you are a good test taker - you'll pass. I would recommend Rosh for EORs and Uworld for final PANCE review. Uworld has longer questions better for building time management compared to Rosh IMO. No matter which one you use, both are great study tools for PANCE alone or together! There is a pretty good dirtyUSMLE video that goes over uspstf guidelines for preventative screening, also as someone who failed the IM comat the combank SPECIFIC shelf exam for IM helped me pass (not greatly but was a pass). I found those comat specific shelf exams helped a lot when trying to pass my comats and was in a time pinch.
