The G30S is the best compact 45 ever made in my opinion. The flexibility in options and how many rounds it gets in that package can't be beat. However I would recommend the G19 as the bar-none do everything gun. But the G26 has even more versatility and I shoot it just as well as my 19.

While I could have just saved money and bought the G30S, I like the features of the Gen 4 such as the wide mag release, improved grip texture, shorter LOP just like the G30SF, and modular back straps. For me, a G36 conceals a little better than my previous fat G26. But I prefer the G30S for 2 reasons: It carries 4 more rounds, and it fits my hand better. I feel less of a need to carry a spare mag with the G30S than I did with the G36. Both shot/shoot the same, equally well for me.
