I made 2 passes at scheids with a broken crank. Oil pressure was fine, you couldnt hardly here anything, and it ran pretty smooth. It still made a 7.1 @96mph pass in the 1/8th with one cp3 cause it wouldnt keep the belt on cause the balancer was wobbling, it would throw it when it shifted to 2nd.

Usually , they're broken towards the front of the block. Going to tear it down the rest of the way and check the main journals.

They all do it, but the LB7/LLY cranks have a little more weight to them so they are preferred if you're building the motor. Not sure if it makes a difference which crank you have, I did go with a used LLY crank that was mag tested in my LMM though. I doubt the crank is broken. You would still have oil pressure. If you have a scanner pull up the cam and crank sensor/signal and see if you’re getting a reading. The pic shows the reluctor wheel hub and oil pump gear misaligned with the crank. That pin broke for sure. Once you remove that hub then you can see the cam gear and pin. It might be fine, and your issue is just the hub in front of it. You should be able to pull that off with a puller.

This is so much of a common issue that people have created cam shafts with altered firing orders to try to remove the stress from that point on the crank.
