If you haven't ever had it out of there, you'd be surprised how heavy the smog pump is along with the pipes to the cats.There should be 3 solenoids over by the coil, the 2 at the back are part of the air system. Highly suggest to leave the EGR intact. The air injection system can be deleted. Remove those hoses, check valve and cross over tube in the picture. Remove the air pump and all vacuum hoses leading to and from the TAB/TAD solenoids. It also makes the engine tidier.removes some weight too. after you remove the pump and the metal line coming from the back of the the heads, you need to plug those up or it will sound like you are running no mufflers. You can wrap the water pump and crank in either direction, which gives you more choices in belt length and pulley wrap.
