Please realize that the ears on a puppy look WAAAAAY larger than they will look on him as an adult, in the same way that huge feet on a puppy end up perfectly sized when the pup is full grown. Some people get short crops that look absolutely horrible when the Doberman is an adult.
This is our first dobie and first cropping, so we do not have any idea. We had it done through a friend who's been cropping ears for 12 years and he told us to let the ear heal own it's own with no bandages.
