If you have a DPS build you're better off giving Memento a miss. Memento sounds great on paper, with 30% potential short term and long term buffs, but because of the way of maff, it works out to 24% damage boost total, and that's if you've maxed out the long term buff (30 trophies collected). Just the short term buff alone is about 14%.
The Hunters build ideally requires two exotics, the memento backpack and the scorpio shotgun. Until you get those, you can run any backpack with the talent adrenaline rush and any smg or shotgun combination as a weapon.
