I pulled over and checked the codes and I got a new one, an ECM code this time, P1632, which is a speedo issue per google. Hi Carol, Your rear brake light switch is seeing low battery voltage and is going to fail. The U codes are lost communication with the BCM and or ECM. It is possible with the can bus system for an engine to shut down. I would have a dealer look at this problem. (It also showed up Pn69994-12b on the speedo display). Pulled the bulb, filaments looked intact and put it back in. Thought maybe just had worked loose.
