I guess in DirectX 8.1 and below, Aussies are look like pure gold. To fix it, I forced it back to DirectX 9 by putting -dxlevel 90 in my launch options, then removed it again after configuring my video settings the way I wanted them. Everything's back to normal now and I even learned a bit about tweaking my hidden TF2 settings.

Really, the Community Market Tour is the best one. i played two cities once, didnt even complete the tour and i got a australium black box my first time. Two cities is the only one that drops australiums. Operation Gear Grinder and Mecha Engine have 3 missions as opposed to the 4 in Two Cities.So Aussie weapons are silver and a muddy gold, depending on the light. I'm pretty sure this started happening when I added transparent viewmodels (tvm). I went back and deleted the custom HUD that I made the tvm changes to, as well as one or two other files/folders - I went through everything on the thread twice.
