The Lake Itasca Family Music Festival is held on the grounds of the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers, in North Central Minnesota. Adjacent to the north entrance to Itasca State Park, on Highway 200, we are in a beautifully wooded area, with many historic buildings. Next door to the festival is where the mighty Mississippi River begins.

We really did not know exactly what to expect, although the LIRPF (Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers) web site had listed a variety of offerings, including tractor pulls and sawmill demonstrations. Well, we were in for a treat! The Hot Air Engine Shed was just inside the gate, so we were duty bound to stop in there first. ...The Pioneer Farmers event is passionate about preserving the past and creating an appreciation for life of days gone by. Along with many demonstrations and exhibits there will also be concerts, tractor rides, and parades daily. The entire event is held on the grounds near Lake Itasca- South of Bagley at 16914 North Entrance Drive.
