Old-style barrel threads have pitch i.e. "angle" in them, new style barrels do not. There is no way to modify new threads properly to fit an old gun. As 1977 catcher has said - you must find an old barrel - there are plenty out there, and then send the gun to Diamond Gunsmiths to have it fitted.
