The ability to travel between campfires is in the DLC.Even if you don't feel like finishing them right away for some reason, all three dlc will have new recipes you can unlock that can be useful for other aspects of the main game, including some extra speed boosting items that could help for those timed chests, and some quality of life improvements like a better seed bag and improved fast travel.
The underworld fast travel (Triangulation) lets you select any campfire or tower when you're at a tower/campfire and using the fast travel option. Because the base game fast travel feature is from pylon to pylon and the campfire version is a DLC upgrade to it? Putting the better version in the base game right away would make the original one, which is also free by just activating each pylon, a moot point.

Now I have both DLCs cleared 100%. This guide is still good and useful for sure, but outdated. For Underworld 100%: Sinister: 42 POI. Dexter: 46 POI. Capper: 48 POI. Yes you cant fast travel between the Underworld and the main game, but this is hardly limited to Dymantle in design.
